The Jasper January Agenda

January brings a new year and variety of must-attend events to the City. We’ve rounded up a few events that include walking tours, pasta making, Hearts on Display at the Ferry Building, dancing at SFMOMA, and much more.

Life at Jasper puts you in the center of excitement every month. Map out your month here:

January 1, Billionaire’s Row & Palace of Fine Arts Walking Tour. This tour combines the elegance of Billionaire’s Row with the architectural wonder that is the Palace of Fine Arts, and much, much more.

January 1-15, Union Square Ice Skating. San Francisco’s favorite outdoor rink is back with daily ice skating for all ages and special events scheduled throughout the holiday season.

January 1-28, Pacita Abad at SFMOMA. The wide-ranging exhibition features more than 40 daring works including her signature trapunto paintings—stuffed, quilted canvases adorned with materials and methods that Abad investigated during her lifetime.

January 4, First Thursdays at SFMOMA. From 1–8 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month, Bay Area residents can enjoy SFMOMA’s galleries filled with lively and inspiring art — for free.

January 6, Rahanna Bisseret Martinez, Flavor+Us. Stop by the Foodwise Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. Rahanna Bisseret Martinez began cooking earlier than most.
