Chase Center in Thrive City has landed
Located just 1.6 miles from Jasper, the 18,064-seat sports and entertainment arena, Chase Center has landed at Thrive City. A first-of-its-kind in San Francisco, Chase Center will serve as a world-class sports and entertainment destination; one that’s home to a championship team, a tremendous culinary scene, engaging retail, and some of the world’s most innovative companies.
Designed by Kansas City-based Manica Architecture with interiors by Jeff Henry of Gensler’s SF office, the exterior is made up of gleaming white perforated panels, inspired by the fog and nautical history of the Bay Area.
The Chase Center features an enormous main scoreboard, in fact it’s the NBA’s biggest and brightest scoreboard with its nearly 75 million LEDs and taking up about 9,700 square feet. An old piece of the court from Oracle Arena where the Warriors used to play, is now displayed and filled with signatures from teammates and franchise employees.
Newly added highlights surrounding Chase Center include a renovated Muni station that expanded its capacity to include four trains of two cars each; a new temporary ferry stop on pier 48; and a mammoth 82-by-52-foot display on the western facade. There will also be a bike valet with 300 permanent spaces plus 950 parking spots underneath the arena.
Chase Center highlights: 44 luxury suites surrounding the arena; 32 courtside lounges; 60 theater boxes.
Club Suites are inspired by the timeless sophistication of San Francisco, highlighting the modern and luxurious designs and details that this city is known for. The Club Suites offer a range of seating types from a large communal table for dining or hosting meetings, a built-in sectional to lounge, along with high-top tables and balcony seating with views to the court.
Courtside Lounges display design and palette elements that reflect the luxury and comfort of our local wine country, Napa Valley. Inspired by the interior of a wine barrel, guests are greeted by a dramatic vaulted ceiling barrel and an oversized media wall that gives you a clear picture into the arena bowl.
Theater Boxes are right along the sideline of Chase Center. Accommodating up to four people at a private table, these spaces are lined with an exclusive dining area, along with plush and private balcony seats. The upscale hospitality club makes each Theater Box the perfect perch to take in all the action.
The 11-acre mixed-use complex is a dynamic new community gathering space created by the Golden State Warriors and Kaiser Permanente to promote health and wellness. Thrive City will be home to the retail stores and restaurants planned for the surrounding district of Chase Center. Thrive City will also be a community gathering space, providing a slate of year-round health and wellness programming, including Get Fit clinics, yoga sessions, farmer’s markets, ice skating, and much more.
The initial set of retailers and restaurants located within Thrive City include:
High-Energy Food Hall by Chef Michael Mina
The Warriors are partnering with Award-Winning Chef Michael Mina to create a sophisticated entertainment destination and food hall that delivers a one-of-a-kind experiential mix of interactive sports games, three full service bars, and a collection of hawker stands inspired by San Francisco’s diverse population. MINA Group, a San Francisco-based restaurant and hospitality company specializing in creating and operating upscale, innovative restaurant concepts, will also create a full-service restaurant to be located at Thrive City’s plaza.
