7 Must Attend Events in March

We’ve rounded up a few must attend events coming up in the city that definitely need to be added to your social calendar:

Channel your inner Iron Chef at the CUESA Classroom cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market on Saturday, March 5, from 12:00pm to 12:45pm. Levi Mezick, Harvest Table, in conjunction with Flavor! Napa Valley festival.

Join the West Coast’s largest Irish event celebrating Irish history and culture on March 12. The San Francisco St. Patrick’s Day Parade will start at the corner of Market and Second Streets where over a hundred colorful floats, Irish dance troupes and marching bands will wind their way to Civic Center Plaza. The festival will commence right after the Parade.

Wander the blocks of Yerba Buena Gardens to soak in art and music at the Yerba Buena Third Thursdays on March 17. On the Third Thursday of each month, YBCA combines drinks, food, and music with creative and exciting art happenings. From 5pm-8pm come together, enjoy free access to our world class galleries, and be part of the art at YBCA.

Bring your furry friend and join Wags Hotel for the 7th Annual Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs to benefit Family Dog Rescue on March 19 at 12pm. Enjoy finger foods and local vendors while your dog sniffs out eggs filled with tasty treats and valuable prizes. Don’t forget your camera for photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny!  Easter Attire is always encouraged. Dogs and children enter for FREE!

Enjoy a taste of Ireland in San Francisco with a menu packed with traditional dishes such as Fish and Chips, Irish Stew, Bangers and Mash, Irish Grill as well as burgers, salads, sandwiches, and many delicious appetizers. Spend a Late Afternoon Beer Casual with Anchor and Hope on Thursday, March 31 from 4:30pm-6pm and enjoy specialty brews from Faction, Fieldwork, Linden Street plus tasty bar bites. Watch their website for more details.

Catch the Giants at AT&T Park as they host an exhibition game against their Bay Area rival, the Oakland Athletics on March 31 at 7:15pm.

Head to nearby Prospect and try their newest bar snack, Fried Smelt with Brussels Kraut Remoulade. Happy Hour is Mon-Fri 4pm-6pm.
