Must Attend Events in February

Life at Jasper puts you in the center of City excitement. We’ve rounded up some must attend events this month that include captivating performances, unlimited Paella and plenty of ways to ring in the Year of the Pig. Map out your month here:

SF Beer Week on February 1-10 features more than 30 San Francisco Brewers Guild members, plus dozens more Northern California craft breweries.

Join CUESA at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market for a celebration of the new public art installation: The Food Change on February 2! Be among the first to see the larger-than-life photomural exhibit in the Ferry Building arcades, championing farmers, advocates, and visionaries in our midst.

Kick off the Chinese New Year with a Mini-Procession & Ribbon Cutting on February 2 from 10am – 11am, giving a taste of what the larger Lunar New Year parade will bring.

Buy fresh flowers, plants, candies, and fruits at the Flower Market Fair on February 2-3 with over 120 booths and concessions.

Cirque du Soleil returns to the San Francisco Bay Area with VOLTA, a captivating voyage of discovery and running through February 3.

The San Francisco Half Marathon & 5K on February 3 both begin in Golden Gate Park, but the half marathon continues south to the zoo with ocean views.

Enjoy unlimited Paella during ThirstyBear’s Ultimate Paella and Beer Dinner on February 7.

Indulge in Milk Tea, Sichuan Food, Takoyaki and other Asian food and snacks at the 2019 Chinese Food Festival on February 8.

Try creative drinks from 12 bars, hear live music and DJ dance music, and explore exhibits during Science of Cocktails at the Exploratorium on Pier 15 on February 8 for age 21+.

Get on your orange and black and get ready for a fun-filled day at beautiful Oracle Park for Giants FanFest on February 9 from 10am to 3pm.

The Chinese New Year Basketball Jamboree will kick off the Year of the Pig with many exciting basketball games on February 9 from 10am – 4pm.

Brighten up winter with a walk among 39,000 tulips, with or without a guide, at Tulipmania on Pier 39 from February 9-18.

With 7,000 entries, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition Public Tasting on February 16 is billed as the largest competition of U.S. wines in the world.

The new Miss Chinatown USA Pageant Queen and her Court will become goodwill ambassadors for the Chinese community throughout the new year on February 16.

A black tie Miss Chinatown Coronation Ball  on February 22 promises to be a highlight of the Lunar New Year festivities.

The Chinese New Year Grand Parade will take place on February 23 from 5:15pm-8pm. The Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco is one of the grandest night illuminated Parades in the country.

Take in traditional dancing, drumming, acrobats, Chinese calligraphy, fortune telling, and lion dancing at the Community Street Fair on February 23 and February 24.

Dumpling Down! Chinese New Year Food Festival on February 24 at SPARK Social SF. 

Wear cocktail attire to The Speakeasy, a 1920’s watering hole with multiple rooms of bootleggers, bouncers, war veterans, and barflies – all behind a secret door. The Vaudeville cabaret runs through March 29.
