Must Attend Events in November

November is here, bringing with it a number of local, fun events you should attend.  From cooking demos to wine festivals, lighting ceremonies to art festivals, there is something for everyone this time of year.

Stop by the CUESA Classroom on November 4 for a cooking demo featuring Grace Nguyen, Asian Box.

Join the 13.1 mile Golden Gate Half on November 5, which includes scenic views as you run from Muni Pier in Aquatic Park across the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Renegade Craft Fair on November 11-12 has indie crafts, artisan food, and workshops in the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason Center.

The 7th annual Discovery Day at AT&T Park is November 11 with hundreds of hands-on activities, opportunities to meet local scientists and engineers, and much more.

Uncorked Wine Festivals is coming back to City View at Metreon with its first ever 90+ event on November 11 with wines from across the globe rated 90 points and higher.

Learn the basics of biking in San Francisco with the SF Bicycle Coalition Intro to Urban Bicycling Workshop with Ford GoBikes on November 16.

Visit Embarcadero Center’s Building Lighting Ceremony & Carnival on November 17 for live music, an ice skating show, fireworks, and 15,000 Christmas lights.

Sip your way through a flight of whisky intended to expand your palate during American Whiskey: Bourbon, Rye and beyond on November 21.

Satisfy your last-minute Thanksgiving feast needs at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market! For this week only, they will be hosting a Special Wednesday Thanksgiving Market on November 22.

Visit the San Francisco Botanical Garden at Golden Gate Park on Free Days, which include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.

See dozens of dramatic glowing art installations in different neighborhoods during Illuminate SF Light Art Festival with free guided tours, an illuminated bike ride, self-guided walks, and artist talks. November 23 – Jan. 1, 2018.

See the two-story giant Gingerbread House made of thousands of home-baked gingerbread bricks and more than a ton of icing and candy in the lobby of the Fairmont SF hotel from November 24-January 1.

The Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony offers entertainment, celebrity guests, and a countdown to lighting “the largest tree in the Bay Area” at the corner of California & Kearny Streets on November 28.
