Here are 7 Must Attend Events in December that definitely need to be added to your social calendar:

Exploratorium Free Day. Visit the Exploratorium on Saturday, December 6 (Winter HoliDay) when they open the doors to the public for free. If you miss out on the free day or are craving more action at the Exploratorium, check out the After Dark: Pairings on Thursday, December 10 for a holiday-themed cooking demo.

The 13th Annual Parol Lantern Festival and Parade is set for Saturday, December 12. Enjoy the parol stroll parade, parol gallery, view the winning commission parol lanterns, merienda, live performances, the always exciting gimme games & see who earns top prize at the Tala Awards!

Experience the Smuin Ballet’s 20th edition of The Christmas Show featuring everything from jazz to ballet to tap. During the first half, the dancers will be in all white and performing more classical routines. The second half includes dancers in all red performing to hits such as “White Christmas,” “Santa Baby,” and “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” December 17 – 27.

Nutcracker Under the Dome is the Nutcracker like you’ve never seen it before. This holiday season, Westfield San Francisco Centre’s iconic Dome comes to life each evening every half hour from 5pm until mall closing at 9pm through December 31 with a one-of-a-kind animated 3D light spectacular.

See the California Academy of Science in a different light at their weekly NightLife event. In addition to exploring the museum and enjoying its special activities, you will also get the chance to enjoy a few cocktails as you make new friends. December 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31.

Enjoy the holiday celebration at the SF Symphony this December at Davies Symphony Hall. Top performances include Deck the Halls (12/6), It’s a Wonderful Life (12/11 & 12/12), and Handels Messiah (12/17 – 12/19).
